Shameless Self-Promotion
I’m devoting the rest of today to shameless self-promotion. Tomorrow I will be back to my regular posts, but today it’s all about me!
I want to monetize Polymer Clay Notes in a way that maintains the integrity of the blog, keeps it uncluttered for ease of reading, brings supplies, information and materials of interest to my loyal readers and pays a few dollars for my time. Advertising space is still available (and if you know of anyone who might be interested, email me) but I also have two new ventures to tell you about.

First up is Polymer Clay Notes’ very own toolbar that you can download and use instantly! What? Another toolbar? Hang on - this one’s pretty cool and it offers you one-click access to what you want: PCNotes, Craftcast, Email, Special Offers and each other! This is an easy way for you to help me keep the blog going - download the toolbar and use the sponsored links in the search engine for me to get credit. The image above shows a small version of the toolbar - click on it to see a larger photo with the current set-up or scroll to the bottom of this page to see the full size:
- Brings you to the front page of this blog.
- Search for anything on Google with the search bar.
- One click access to PCN’s top categories including Clip Art.
- Listen to Alison Lee’s Craftcast right from the toolbar! This feature is only for PC users, Mac’s operating system doesn’t support the radio so it won’t show up on Mac toolbars.
- Everyone who downloads the toolbar has the ability to ‘chat’ with each other in real time - what fun!
There is also a link to my Squidoo Lens, which is all about Recycled Art and right next to that you can set the toolbar to see when you have new emails then retrieve them by clicking on the white envelope.

No adware, no malware, no spyware. Promise. I’ve had my toolbar up for a few weeks with no problems. This is a good way to build community. There is also a module that allows me to share special messages and offers to PCNotes Toolbar users.
The toolbar company makes money by monetizing the search bar and I get a small portion of that revenue. Not a lot folks, but every little bit helps.
